A Magical Micro Wedding at Highcliffe Castle

Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, but there’s something truly special about a micro wedding—a day that focuses purely on love, connection, and those closest to you.

Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a beautiful micro wedding at Highcliffe Castle, followed by a heart-warming trip to the beach with the couple’s nearest and dearest. Instead of traditional confetti, they opted for bubbles, which added a touch of magic and fun to the day. Let’s just say—it was an absolute dream to capture!

Why I Love Micro Weddings ✨

A micro wedding doesn’t mean missing out on those precious wedding moments. In fact, it makes them even more intimate and meaningful. Here’s what you can expect from a micro wedding photography experience:

✨ Guest Arrivals – I love capturing the excitement as your loved ones arrive, greeting each other and sharing joyful anticipation.

✨ Your Grand Entrance – The moment you walk in, all eyes are on you. The reactions of your partner and guests? Priceless.

✨ A Beautiful Ceremony – Whether it’s held in an elegant venue like Highcliffe Castle or outdoors with nature as your backdrop, I’ll be there to capture every emotion-filled second.

✨ The “We Did It!” Moment – That just-married joy is one of my absolute favourite things to capture.

✨ Post-Ceremony Hugs – Those heartfelt embraces, the happy tears, and the pure love radiating from your family and friends? They deserve to be documented.

✨ Group Photos That Matter – When will you all be together like this again? A micro wedding allows for meaningful group portraits without the stress of a huge guest list.

✨ Timeless Couple Portraits – With fewer time constraints, we can focus on creating stunning couple portraits that you’ll cherish forever. Highcliffe Beach provided the perfect setting for relaxed, romantic shots, with the golden light glistening on the waves.

How Long Do You Need for a Micro Wedding?

I find that three hours is the perfect amount of time to capture a micro wedding beautifully. However, I always recommend booking an engagement shoot too—this allows us to capture golden hour portraits and get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day!

If you’re dreaming of a stress-free, intimate, and joy-filled wedding day, then a micro wedding might be exactly what you’re looking for. Whether it’s a historic venue like Highcliffe Castle, a relaxed beach setting, or a cosy countryside retreat, your day should be about what makes you happiest.
